Airport Buses in Istanbul: Havaist and Havabus
Buses to Istanbul Airport run under the Havaist name, and to Sabiha Gökçen usually under the Havabus name. They are a direct, inexpensive way to the airport without changes, if a route passes near you. But a bus does not stop at your hotel, and it sits in the same traffic as every car.

How It Works
Stops are usually at major hubs such as Taksim, Kadıköy and Beşiktaş. Luggage goes in the hold. Before you travel, check the timetable and how to pay on the operator's official website, because both change.
What to Keep in Mind
- You have to reach the stop with your luggage, and in Beyoğlu and Fatih that often means walking uphill
- The bus uses the same motorways as cars, so it cannot avoid traffic
- At night the gaps between buses are longer; know the time of the last one
- For a departure, allow extra time in case the bus is full
When a Car Works Out Better
The bus suits one or two people who stay near a stop. Our prices are for the whole car: from €90 for a Vito that seats six. For a family with heavy luggage the price gap often shrinks, while the time and energy saved remain. You can also write your request to us in Russian.
Common Questions
Is There a Shuttle to Istanbul Airport?
Havaist buses do the job of a shuttle: they run from several districts straight to the terminal. A free hotel shuttle exists only at some hotels, so ask at reception. If there is no stop near you, a ride to the airport from your hotel door is simpler.
How Much Is the Havaist Bus?
We do not quote a fare, because the operator sets it and it changes. See the official Havaist website.
Where Do the Airport Buses Leave From?
From major hubs such as Taksim and Kadıköy. The full current list is on the operator's website.
Can I Take the Bus at Night?
Some routes run at night, but less often. Check the timetable in advance and allow extra time.
