Metered Ride or Pre-Booked Car?
We are not a city taxi. Istanbul taxis run on the meter and can be hailed in the street or called through an app. We work differently: a pre-booked Mercedes with a driver, a name sign at the airport and a price from €90 per car, confirmed before the ride. Below is an honest comparison of when each one makes sense, written with Russian-speaking visitors in mind.

How the Two Options Differ
| What We Compare | City Cab | Our Car |
|---|---|---|
| Price | Metered; the total depends on the road and traffic | Confirmed in advance, does not change |
| Bridges and tolls | Usually paid on top | Already in the price |
| How to get one | At a rank, in the street or by app | In advance, by request or WhatsApp |
| At the airport | No meeting; you walk to the rank | Name sign, 60 minutes of waiting |
| Child seat | Usually not | Free on request |
| Language | Mostly Turkish | Write to us in Russian or English |
| Short city hop | Easy and usually cheaper | Not in our price list |
How City Cabs Work in Istanbul
Istanbul has three kinds of city cab: yellow, turquoise and black. All of them run on the meter, but the fares differ: turquoise and black cost more than yellow. Tolls and bridges are usually not on the meter and are paid on top.
The city sets the fares and changes them, so we do not quote figures or compare them with our prices from memory: check the cost in the app before you ride.
Metered Rides from the Airports
Istanbul Airport and Sabiha Gökçen both have cab ranks outside arrivals, and those cars run on the meter too. Istanbul Airport is about 40 to 45 km from the centre, and Google Maps gives 40 to 75 minutes to Taksim on a weekday, so a metered total depends heavily on traffic.
If you want to know the amount before you fly, book a fixed-price ride from Istanbul Airport or from Sabiha Gökçen: from €95 and €90 per car, with bridges and an hour of waiting included. For a business guest there is the VIP class with the S-Class.
When a Metered Ride Is Better
For a short ride in town, a taxi is usually simpler and cheaper: you do not need a booked car from Taksim to Galata. Our prices are built for rides to and from the airports, and we will not talk you into a Mercedes for a ten-minute trip.
You can find one at a rank or through apps such as BiTaksi. If you hail one in the street, check that the meter is on. The city sets the fares and they change, so we quote no figures: the app shows the current cost. If you specifically want an airport cab, our sister brand Istanbul Airport Taxi Services does exactly that.
When to Book a Car in Advance
A booked car is easier from the airport, especially late at night, with children or with a lot of luggage. The road from Istanbul Airport to the centre is long, and you want to know the total before you board. Our price is per car, so six people in a Vito pay the same as one.
From Istanbul Airport prices start at €95, and from Sabiha Gökçen at €90. For one passenger with no luggage that can cost more than a cab; for a family with suitcases the gap is usually small, and there are no changes.
Common Questions
Are You a Taxi Company?
No. We are a company with TÜRSAB licence A-11345 and a D2 certificate that carries guests in pre-booked Mercedes vehicles. You cannot hail our cars in the street.
How Much Is a Cab in Istanbul?
City cabs run on the meter and the city sets the fare, so we do not quote a figure. Our own prices are in the price list: confirmed in advance and not affected by traffic.
Is There a Russian-Speaking Cab in Istanbul?
We are not a cab, but you can write your request to us in Russian. Some of our drivers speak Russian. Ask for one when you book and we will try to assign one, or tell you in advance if none is free on your date.
What Does a Cab from Istanbul Airport to the Centre Cost?
A cab from the airport runs on the meter, and the total depends on the district, traffic and tolls, so nobody knows it in advance. Our car from Istanbul Airport to Taksim is €95 for a Vito, and that price does not change. Every destination is in the price list.
How Do I Book a Car in Advance?
Send a request or write on WhatsApp, in Russian or English, with your flight or pick-up time, the address and the number of passengers. We confirm the price in writing and send the driver's name and phone number before the ride.
Can I Book a Car for Right Now?
You can try, if a car is free: call or write on WhatsApp. It is better to book ahead, though; otherwise a cab from the rank will be faster.
